I thank God that we were able to connect in your latter years. You were by far the best teacher that I have ever had. Your letters and cards throughout the years are cherished as are the memories of your smile and your distinct voice. You gave so much!

One of the great ladies of God. Loved her so much and she was also a delight. We will miss her so much, but know that she is now living a pain free happy life.

Mrs. Townsend ~ her name alone brings such wonderful memories! My 2nd grade teacher at JFK on Ft. Richardson ~ she always made me smile and gave me a love for learning early on. Only now do I realize I attended Bartlett with her son Skip!! Sending love, thoughts & prayers to you all. She will be missed...

I am so blessed to have known Carolyn. I always looked forward to seeing her during her visits to Michigan. We loved chatting about judge shows, talk shows, and about the happenings in our lives. She was such a kind person with a heart of gold. Heaven gained the most beautiful angel. Sending love, hugs and prayers to my second family.

I loved playing cards and bored games with my grandma when we had the chance to visit each other. She always followed the rules and was very competitive. She would trash talk the whole game and make us all laugh. My grandma and I loved writing letters to each other, whenever I would receive one, it would bring me so much joy. Although we lived so far away, we found a way to keep in touch. My grandma was so loving, kind, giving, and an incredible person. I miss her and think about her everyday and know she is with us.

Ms. Townsend was my 4th and 6th grade teacher, and she was such a positive impact in my life. She was funny, caring, loving, and supportive and taught equality to her students. She was know as "The Field Trip" teacher, as she was always taking students in the community. She taught us line-dancing and we would go to Captain Cook during the holidays to put on a dance show for the public. I got my first dog from Ms. Townsend, as I lived in her neighborhood, and was friends with her children. She influenced me so much I became a Special Education teacher. I use humor in the classroom everyday, I take my class in the community to learn and understand their environment, and most of all express equality. Thank you Ms. Townsend for being that special light in my life, and helping me become the man I am today. You will be missed, and you will always be loved.
