Carolyn Joyce Miller Watson, 86, of Sebastian, Florida, passed away on June 1, 2025, at the Vero Beach Hospice House after a battle with ovarian cancer. Born on January 4, 1939, in Titusville, Pennsylvania, to Lucille B. and Elbert E. Miller, Carolyn moved often during her childhood. Her family spent time in Kent, Ohio, where her father owned a flower shop and greenhouse, before returning to the Titusville area. She attended high school there, where she was a cheerleader, a member of the Class of 1956, and met her future husband, Lyle Watson. They were married on March 7, 1957, in a rural church with their parents in attendance.
Carolyn supported Lyle's U.S. Navy career, moving frequently across the country. While he was often deployed overseas, she raised their three children: Phillip (deceased), Jeffery, and Sherri (later Tera Fenixx). After retiring from the Navy in 1974, they settled in the Meadville and Titusville area of Pennsylvania. A talented tap dancer, Carolyn performed from a young age and continued into her 70s, often teaching and dancing at charity events. She also worked as an interior decorator and was known for creating beautifully decorated cakes, including many for weddings.
Carolyn and Lyle, who celebrated 68 years of marriage earlier this year, were blessed with three grandsons-Kenneth, Jason, and Denys-and eight great-grandchildren living in the U.S. and Japan. She is survived by husband Lyle, her brother Bill Miller and his wife Linda. Carolyn was a kind and gentle caregiver, cherished by family, friends, and pets. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Donations may be made to VNA Hospice Foundation, 920 37th Place, Suite 101, Vero Beach, FL 32960 in Carolyn's name.

We were cheerleaders together in high school but I never dreamed we would later become sister-in-laws. She was wonderfully supportive of me through some difficult times that I will always be grateful for.
I´m so sorry for your loss. She was a very special person and will be missed by all who knew her.

My mother Carolyn loved animals, especially dogs, and they loved her. Until her very last she was still mothering her dog, Samson, and he now misses her very much. Donating in her memory to an animal shelter would please her.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I grew up next to Carolyn and Lyle in Guys Mills and used to babysit Jason. Carolyn and Lyle were always so kind and a sweet part of my childhood. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
