Carolyn Fleming Worthy

Carolyn Fleming Worthy, 90, of Pacolet, South Carolina passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Carolyn was born on July 30, 1934, in Pacolet Mills, South Carolina to the late Lawrence Fleming and Mittie Mathis Fleming. She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Worthy; a brother, Jackie Fleming, Sr.; and two sisters, Eddie Beck and Margie Murray. She was a graduate of Pacolet High School.

She enjoyed traveling with her late brother, Jackie. Carolyn was an avid reader and was loved by everyone who had the pleasure to meet her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her sweet, loving kindness will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish the wonderful memories of Carolyn are her daughter: Renee O’Brien (Reggie); her grandchildren: Ami Parris, Jennifer Jolly (Ricky), Joey O’Brien (Rachel), and Jason O’Brien (Shonna); great grandchildren: Hannah Curry (Dee), Dawson Jolly (Brandi), Abigail Hood (Charlie), Olivia and Ella Davis; great-great grandchildren: Hadley, Halston, and Heisman Curry; a niece: Sheryl Shehan (Mike); and nephews: Jackie Fleming, Jr., and Jerry Ritch (Linda). Also surviving is a very special neighbor and friend, Shannon Burrell.

A graveside memorial service to honor Carolyn’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Pacolet Memorial Gardens, 141 Memorial Drive, Pacolet, SC 29372. Rev. Tommy Sparks will officiate the service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the charity of one’s choice in memory of Carolyn F. Worthy.

The arrangements are entrusted into the care of Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel.
