Carrie Bland, 80, of Brazoria, Texas went joyfully home to her Lord and Master on December 4, 2023. She was born to the late Hobert Francis Rackley and Ruby Pratt on June 15, 1943 in Bakersfield, California.
She loved her Lord, family, and friends and her Senior Bowling league. She retired from the United States Postal Service after delivering mail for over 23 years to the Brazoria community.
Carrie leaves behind to celebrate her life the family that was everything to her, 4 daughters: Donna Thomas (Randy), Tammy Moss and Keitha Bland all of Brazoria and Robin Strickland (Shannon) of West Columbia, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Also sister, Joyce Richards, and brother, Ronnie Rackley, of Cameron, TX and brother-in-law, James Bland (Catrina) of Bryan, TX. Lots of nieces and nephews, 1 special sister Betty Peters of Brazoria.
Pallbearers include Corey Thomas, Colton Keith, Kaland Hendrickson, Bryson Moss, Toby Cohen, and Matt Collins.
Preceded in death by her husband Nolan Bland Jr. and an infant son, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
At her request, services will be held privately. She also requests in lieu of flowers please consider donating to St. Jude's or Shriner's Hospital.
