Carrie Mae Jeffcoat, age 88, of Summerville, South Carolina passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025. Born on October 11, 1936 in Orangeburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Nina Berry Brunson and Bragg Brunson. Carrie was a devoted housewife who took great pride in being a mother. She spent a brief time working at the Charleston Shipyard, but her true joy was found at home. She loved Hallmark movies and cherished Christmas. Most importantly, Carrie's greatest love was her family, who meant the world to her. Carrie is preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Jeffcoat, Jr. and son Robert J. Jeffcoat, III. Her brother, Bev B. Brunson. Carrie is survived by her daughter, Carrie Yvonne Downing (Joe); grandchildren: Aaron Downing and Toni Bartel (Chris); great-grandchildren: Andrew, Harper and Oliver Bartel; her Daughter, Cindy Bishop (Tommy) ; and her sister, Janice Cardell. Visitation with the family will begin at 12:00PM (Noon) on July 16th, 2025, at Beaches Chapel by Hardage-Giddens, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250. Funeral services at 1:00PM in Beaches Chapel. Graveside services afterward in H. Warren Smith Cemetery. The family will host a reception after the committal at Beaches Chapel, in the Bistro Room.
