Carrie M. Shopinski

Mrs. Carrie M. Shopinski of Hoyleton, IL, departed this life on Friday, June 17, 2022, at 10:07 A.M. She had attained the age of 38 years, 8 months and 27 days.
Carrie was born on September 20, 1983, in Nashville, IL, the daughter of John Nettles and Tammy (nee Bierman) Krummrich. She was united in marriage to Jason Shopinski on May 9, 2004, at the Grace United Methodist Church in Nashville, IL and he survives her passing.
Carrie was a 2002 graduate of Nashville Community High School in Nashville, IL. She worked in the healthcare field and was currently working at the Salem Township Community Hospital. Carrie enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball. She had a love for the ocean and cherished the time that her and her family spent there. She was a swim team mom and enjoyed attending the swim meets. Carrie was a dedicated mother and loved spending time with her family.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Jason Shopinski of Hoyleton, IL; three children, Rebecca, Joseph and Eden Shopinski all of Hoyleton; her father, John Nettles and wife Ann of Granit City; her mother, Tammy Kummrich of Trenton; two sisters, Amye (Jason) Pepple of McLeansboro and Sarah Becker of Nashville; brother, Adam Nettles of Trenton; stepsister, Terri (Mike) Burroughs of O'Fallon; two stepbrothers, Jim (Jackie) Krummrich and Gene Krummrich all of Fairview Heights; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Debbie Shopinski of Ashley; two brothers-in-law, Tim (Jennifer) Shopinski of Woodlawn and Tyler Shopinski of Ashley; two nieces, Gracie and Chloe Shopinski; two nephews, Drake Pepple and Abraham Nettles; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Vernon Krummrich, paternal grandparents, Raymond and Jan Nettles; maternal grandparents, Harold and Vivaulee Bierman and stepsister, Susan Ward.
Funeral services will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 10 A.M. with Rev. Robert Herath officiating. Interment will follow in the Ashley City Cemetery in Ashley, IL.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Thursday from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on Friday from 8 A.M. until the service hour.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made to a trust fund which will be established for the benefit of her children and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
