Carrol Risinger Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home - Sidney on Dec. 10, 2025.
Carrol D. Risinger, 84, of Sidney, Montana, passed away on December 4, 2025.

Carrol was born on October 17, 1941, to Claude and Willis Risinger of Cache, Oklahoma. After graduating from high school, he attended college for a brief time before choosing a path of service and joining the United States Air Force.

Carrol proudly served his country for more than 20 years as first a Missile Trainer Technician later followed as an Air Traffic Control Radar Technician for majority of his military career, undoubtedly building the foundation for a lifetime of technical skill and unwavering integrity. After retiring from military service in 1986, he and his wife relocated to Sidney, Montana, where he continued a second career as an Electronics Technician with the Federal Aviation Administration, ultimately retiring from the FAA as well. His colleagues and friends knew him as a man who could always be counted on-honest, dependable, and steady.

Carrol was a devoted and loving husband for 57 years to his beloved wife, Betty, whom he lost just a few short years ago. Their marriage was a testament to loyalty, strength, and enduring love.

Quiet by nature, Carrol was a man of few words, which made those words matter. When he spoke, people listened. His strong moral character, kindness, and calm presence shaped the lives of those around him and left a legacy of quiet strength.

Carrol was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; his parents, Claude and Willis; and his siblings Shirley Lockhart and Claudine Hill.

He is survived by his baby sister, Leona Turner; his children John Risinger (Angela), Richard Risinger (Wendy), Mary Kendall (John), and Jo Miller (Martin); and so many precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.
