Carroll Ray Bierbower

Carroll Ray Bierbower passed from this life at his home in Quartz Hill, CA on the evening of
February 5, 2023. He was 97 years old. Born in Los Angeles, CA o June 14, 1925, his parents soon relocated their large family to the Ozark area of southern Missouri. He often declared the Ozarks to be the most beautiful area of the country! In his mid-teens the family returned to southern CA to seek a better life.
Carroll left high school to join the navy, where he served on the USS Comfort during WWII. The hospital ship was hit by a kamikaze. It was many years before Carroll was able to verbalize the atrocities of that attack.
On July 5, 1945, while the ship was docked for repair, he married his fiancé, Dorothy Buhler. They settled in Quartz Hill, CA, where they raised a family of five children. He worked for the SC Edison Co. for several years, then eventually opened a TV repair business, which eventually evolved into the satellite dish systems.
Concurrently he completed a doctorate of theology, then established and ministered a church in Quartz Hill, which he, and the congregation, later relocated to Cave Junction, OR. He was often invited to speak at churches across the country, including in the southern "bible belt". He also accepted a magnificent opportunity to tour the holy lands, As a scholar he continued to research, and published several booklets on various spiritual topics.
Carroll was a very upbeat and adventurous person, setting a positive example for his family and many friends and acquaintances. In recent years he was known to say, "I've lived a good life. I have no regrets." Carroll is survived by one brother, four children, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren.
