Presque Isle – Carroll Thomas Pelkey, 79, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025, at the Cary Medical Center in Caribou. He was born September 2, 1945, in Sheridan, Maine, to William and Lucy (Carney) Pelkey.

Carroll and Sandra were married on August 16, 1980, and were blessed with three daughters and one son.

Carroll served in the United States Marine Corps from 1964 to 1968, where he earned the rank of sergeant. He was a potato broker for most of his life, but he held many jobs throughout his working career. One job that was special to him was working for and with Guerrette Farms in Caribou.

Carroll had a dry sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He was always available to listen and be there for the people he cared about. He was a very generous and selfless man always willing to help others. He loved his family and loved when they were all able to get together.

Carroll was predeceased by his parents, William and Lucy Pelkey.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Pelkey; his children, Toby Pelkey, Jody Sewell and her husband John, Michele Cormier, Amy Turner; his brothers, Rodney Pelkey and Rick Pelkey; grandchildren, Ashley Towne, Brittany Soucy, McKenize Turner, Cyrus Sewell, Gavin Trombley, Nolan Sewell; and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many dear nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call 9:00 AM Thursday, August 14, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Presque Isle, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM.
