Carroll and his late wife Virginia owned and operated Carrolls Bargain Box in Loudon from 1980 - 2014. They were both considered a mainstay of the community.
Carroll worked and retired from Maremont Corporation in Loudon with over 25 years of service. Prior to this, he worked at Candora Marble Company in Knoxville.
He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Carroll loved the Lord Jesus Christ and would share the Gospel with everyone he met. He attended Loudon United Methodist Church in Loudon and My Father's House in Lenoir City. He loved going to church while able. He enjoyed spending time with his family, telling corny jokes, eating catfish, and watching westerns, Atlanta Braves baseball and University of Tennessee football.
Carroll is preceded in death by the mother of his children Virginia (Brown) Tuck, and later in life wives Martha (Bailey) Tuck and Joyce (Christian) Tuck; his son-in-law Danny Williams; his brother John Tuck; sisters, Lillie (Tuck) Russell, Dee (Sexton) Barger and Ola Mae (Sexton) Childress.
Carroll is survived by his daughters, Sonya (Tuck) Williams and Carolyn (Tuck) Clayton; grandchildren Chris (Sarah) Williams, Erin (Billy) Frey, Paul (Dibri) Clayton, Noah and Hope Clayton and great- grandchildren, Bennett, Charlie, Josie, Grayson, Luke and Liam; his sisters Nora (Tuck) Akins and Ketha (Tuck) Cook along with many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A celebration of life will be held 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 29th in the McGill Click Chapel with Rev. David Thompson officiating. Interment 11 AM Thursday in Greenwood Cemetery 3500 Tazewell Pike, Knoxville. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service at McGill Click Funerals & Cremations, 1366 Highway 72 N, Loudon. mcgillclick.com
