Mary Adkins of Tennessee, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025. Mary was born November 29, 1936 in Ozark to R.A. and Alice Belle Langford Childree. She was the fourth born of eight children. She graduated from Ozark High School in 1955. She married Hilson Luther Adkins. Mary was employed all of her adult life as a secretary and bookkeeper. Her last employment was with Tom West Company of Dothan, Alabama where she worked for 34 years. After retirement and the death of her husband, Mary moved to Loudon, Tennessee near Knoxville with her daughter and son-in-law. She loved living in Tennessee. She was friends with everyone she met. Marys life was filled with great love and great loss. She was a model of a strong woman with faith in God and love for life. She was always compassionate to others and we may never know the unspoken kind deeds she did. Mary will be sorely missed. Her memory is deeply cherished by all who knew her. Preceded in death by her husband Hilson Adkins (2018); son Randall Adkins (1991); brothers J D Childree, Harold Childree, Don Childree, Billy Childree, Charles Childree. Survivors include her daughter Patricia Adkins McAliley (Franklin) Of Loudon, Tennessee; Grandchildren Christopher Adam Puciloski, British Virgin Islands, John Stephen Puciloski (Jessie), Tuscaloosa, AL, Jamie Adkins Starling (Steven), Georgetown, GA, Benjamin McAliley (Kris-Ann), Eufaula, AL, Daniel McAliley (Michelle), Trussville, AL; several great-grandchildren; Sister Sara Bowman (Billy) (Ozark, Alabama), Brother Larry Childree (Betty) (Ozark, Alabama); Brothers in Law - Billy Joe Adkins (Kathy). Douglas Adkins. Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 11, 2025, 11am at Fowler Family Funeral Home (965 Woodland Drive, Dothan, Al) visitation will begin at 10am. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adam Puciloski, Stephen Puciloski, Steven Starling, Randall Starling, Ben McAliley, Matt Qualls.
