Carson Lam Jr.

Carson (Lou) Lam, Jr. age 64 of Berkley, Michigan passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023, at Corwell Health William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Lou was born in Highland Park, Michigan on August 18, 1958. He was the son of Carson L. and Patricia J. Lam.
Lou was the epitome of a provider and protector of his family. He built this family from the first girl up and loved being a girl dad and a girl papa. Never missed a sporting event for his girls. He was a fierce friend and a dad to all who entered his life and his home. Oh, how he loved a routine and a clean house. Lou loved the Detroit Tigers (and sometimes the Lions), loved to listen to the Red Wings on his meme worthy old alarm clock/radio. He had the ultimate sense of humor, a laugh that was infectious, and was great at the Irish goodbye. Lou loved vodka with just a splash of lemonade or an ice-cold rolling rock.
Surviving is his wife Jennifer of 28 years; children, Megan (Andrew) Hoppe, Mallory Lam, Mackenzie (Jake) Kepler, Madi Lam; stepdaughter, Chelsea Garwood; grandchildren, Chloe, Lila, Harper, Reagan and Briar; his mother, Patricia Lam; mother-in-law, Linda Dahms; siblings, Liz Lam, Ray Lam, Cindy Dresden, Cheryl Lam, Joe Lam, Jeff (Sue) Dahms, as well as many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Carson L. Lam and father-in-law, Jerry Dahms.
Visitation at the Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home 2125 Twelve Mile Road in Berkley, (two blocks west of Woodward Avenue) Friday, August 4th from 2 pm until 8 pm.
Mr. Lam will be cremated according to his wishes. Memorial contributions may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
