Carson Lee Shahan, born December 12, 1953, passed away September 7, 2025, in Cleveland, TN.
A dedicated cattle farmer, Carson spent much of his life working alongside the land and contributing to the farming community. He was employed by Ben Moore and later Dan Moore, where his strong work ethic and passion for agriculture shone brightly. He also enjoyed his time working as a long-haul trucker and even a rodeo cowboy.
Carson enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on January 11, 1971. His time in the Marines shaped his character and instilled a commitment to service, which he carried into his everyday life. He was known for his kindness and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need.
He is survived by his brother Truman Shahan, Jr (Elizabeth); sister Glenda Gail Guinn; nephews Walter Shahan (Rebekah) and Daniel Shahan; nieces Jennifer Demay (Dan); Rebecca Troutt (Lance) and Tabatha Hicks; and his special life-long friends Karen Jones, her son and daughter Wes Jones and Christy-Anne Seih and his dear friend Kenny Shaw.
He is preceded in death by his father Truman W Shahan and mother, Eleanor Geran Shahan, brother French (Frenchie) Shahan and sister Phyllis Kay Carver-Bateman.
The family will have a private celebration of life.
