Carson Smith Obituary
Carson Duane Smith, 87, of Wadsworth, died December 21, 2024 at Barberton Hospital.
Carson was born October 16, 1937 in Wadsworth, Ohio to Rollin and Vera {Frase} Smith.
Carson served in the United States Army in the 1950s.
He married Carolyn Jean Schick on November 22, 1958.
Carson worked for Smith’s Dairy for 47 years. He enjoyed farming, going on fishing trips, and photography.
Carson will be deeply missed by his wife Carolyn; children Sally Clark of Rittman, Laura Elrod of Memphis, TN, Ross Smith of Wadsworth, Ivy Jo Olah of Parma, and Tod Smith of Wadsworth; grandchildren Steven Winkler, Angela Chambers, Matthew Chambers, Nathan Chambers, Adam Smith, Heather Harrison, Kassidy Masters, Jacob Allen Smith, and Silas William Smith; 24 great-grandchildren; and sister Justine Brewer of Michigan
Carson was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Alan Winkler, and brothers Thomas Smith and Rex Smith.
Friends may call Thursday December 26 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Carson-Smith). Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
