Carter Thorup Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 19, 2023.
Carter Christopher Thorup of Clinton, Utah passed away suddenly on Friday, November 17th. Carter was just shy of 14 years old. Carter had a chromosomal deletion that included the challenges of being non-verbal, mentally and intellectually delayed, having low muscle tone and a feeding tube. Despite these disabilities, Carter was usually happy and loved to give hugs. He was very patient and loving. He loved music and toys.
Carter is the oldest of 5 children and he is survived by his Father (Christopher), Mother (Heather), Sierra (11), Keaton (9), Asher (4), and Tucker (3) as well as four grandparents and 26 cousins.
Carter had beautiful blue eyes and loved when we took him in his wheelchair ice skating. He was loved by his entire family and taken good care of by his many teachers, classmates, peers and bus drivers. We want to extend a thank you to the doctors and nurses at Primary Children's for working so hard to take care of him during his illness.
Carter, you will be greatly missed. Run and play in Heaven until we meet again. You are our beloved sunshine.
A public viewing will be on Friday, November 24th from 6-8 pm at Wasatch Lawns Memorial Park at 3401 Highland Drive (1495 east) Millcreek, UT 84106
