Caryn Ann Wolfe

Caryn A. Wolfe, age 74, of Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on January 25, 2022. She was born December 14, 1947 in Erie the daughter of the late L. Wilburn and Shirley Wolfe.
Caryn was a 1965 graduate of McDowell High School, and while raising her children she went to nursing school at St. Vincent Hospital and later received her Master's in Nursing from Gannon University. She started her career at St. Vincent Hospital and later became a Public Health Nurse at the Erie County Department of Health.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant sister Shirley Ann Wolfe and her brother-in-law Rev. David Laakso.
Caryn is survived by her beloved wife Laura Savelli and her children Abigail Low (Victor) of Lafayette Hill, PA and Jason Smith (Melanie) of Anaheim, CA as well as her former husband and the father of her children, James Smith of Ft. Collins, CO. Dear sister of Kathleen Smith, David Wolfe (Sue), Judy Fronzaglia (Doug), Sue Arndt (Jim), Daniel Wolfe, Marilyn Rogish (Joe), and Becky Laakso (Dana Cleversy). Proud grandmother of Vivian, Carter, Emerson and Madeline. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Friends may call on Friday January 28, 2022 at St. George Church 5145 Peach Street, Erie PA 16509 from 9AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10AM. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. The Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., at 4216 Sterrettania Rd is handling the arrangements.
