Casimir "Casey" Brzozowski, age 95, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Erie on February 26, 1930, a son of the late Frank and Catherine Szymanowski Brzozowski.
Casey graduated from Academy High School in 1948 and began his career at General Electric. In 1950 he joined the United States Navy serving for 4 years on the USS Ammen during the Korean Conflict. He worked as an electrical tester for General Electric for 40 years, retiring in 1992. Casey was a member of St. Joseph Bread of Life Church. He was an avid golfer at Downing Golf Course and was a proud member of the Glenwood YMCA for over 60 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Christine Dymski Brzozowski and his brother Leonard A. Brzozowski.
Survivors include his three daughters, Karen Baldauf and her husband, Tom, of Harper, TX, Anne Maries, of Erie, and Sue Powell and her husband, Ron, of Erie; his five grandchildren, Joshua Baldauf (Melissa), Tyler Baldauf (Kasy), Kelly Larson (Nick), Shannon Owens (Peter), and Jacob Powell; his six great-grandchildren, Jackson, Kelsey, Danielle, Luke, Matthew, and Bea; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Monday, April 21st from 4 to 7 p.m. and are invited to a prayer service there the following morning at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Bread of Life Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Bread of Life Church – 147 W. 24th St., Erie, PA 16502, for Masses and prayers.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at UPMC Hamot Hospital, LECOM Senior Living Center, and Interim Hospice Care for their excellent care.
