David D. Burns
David D. Burns, 79, a resident of the PA Soldiers and Sailors Home, passed away Monday October 6, 2025. He was born in Salamanca, NY on June 13, 1946 a son of the late Donald H. and Lucille Longberry Burns.
David graduated from Union High School and went on to serve in the United States Army. He was owner and operator of Dave's TV and VCR Repair and a member of the Holy Assembly of God. He was very involved musically with area churches and enjoyed playing keyboard for services at the Soldiers and Sailors Home chapel.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Southwick Burns, and his second wife, Joyce Purdy Burns.
Survivors include his son, David A. Burns (Thelma); four grandchildren; nine great grandchldren; his sister, Barbara Cooper; one brother, Richard Burns; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call at the PA Soldiers and Sailors Home on Tuesday October 14th, 2025 from 10 a.m. until the time of services there at 11 a.m. Burial with full military honors will follow in the PA Soldiers and Sailors Home Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the PA Soldiers & Sailors Home, 560 East Third Street, Erie, Pa., 16507.
