Family will receive friends Tuesday April 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Vernon AME, 1127 Mt. Vernon Avenue Columbus, Ohio 43203.
Cassandra Dell Jeter Mizelle was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and wife. She was born in Columbus, Ohio to the union of Ervin and Vernetta Sims Jeter, and raised in the Milo - Grogan area. She attended Columbus Public Schools and graduated from Central High School. "San" was a lifelong member of Mt. Vernon Ave, AME Church where she served in the Regeneration and Mass choirs and culinary staff.
Cassandra fought a long and weary battle with sarcoidosis which led to blindness and other chronic conditions. She transitioned on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at the age of 69. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Dwayne A. Mizelle.
She leaves to celebrate her life: Husband, Wayne A. Mizelle; daughters Jovanni (Wesley Moore) Jeter and Samantha Mizelle; brother, Earl " Butch" Jeter; sisters, Sharon L. Jeter and Gwendolyn Jeter and a host of other family members and friends.
