Lisa Mizelle, 58, of Roxboro, NC, passed away on May 23, 2025 after almost a year of courageously battling ALS. A native of Suffolk, VA, Lisa was the daughter of the late John Dee Williams, Jr. and Ann Dale Williams. She is also proceeded in death by her mother-in-law, Frances Leicester Mizelle.
Lisa was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and served faithfully as the Worship Leader at Gateway Baptist Church. Her love for the Lord and her passion for leading others in worship left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin E. Mizelle; her daughter and son-in-law, Megan M. and Bert Richardson of Moyock, NC; her son and daughter-in-law, Cale and Samantha Mizelle of Roxboro, NC; and her precious grandchildren: Evelyn, Analiese and Emery Richardson, and Graylynn and Liam Mizelle. She is also survived by her sister, Carol W. Thomas; her brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Kay Williams; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Barry and Patty Mizelle; numerous nephews and a niece who adored her; and her father-in-law Jesse Eugene Mizelle.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 31st at 1:00pm at Gateway Baptist Church, 2370 Chambers Loop Rd, Timberlake, NC 27583. Family and friends are warmly invited to join us as we honor and celebrate Lisa's life, faith, and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jim "Catfish" Hunter ALS Foundation, P.O. Box 47, Hertford, NC 27944.
