Cassandra Jean Tyler

Cassandra Jean Tyler, 62, was called home to heaven at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2022, surrounded by loving family members.
Cassandra was born on September 3, 1960, in South Bend, Indiana to the union of Charles Kimble and Frances (Turner) Kimble whom both preceded her in death. She was the baby girl of the family.
Cassandra attended South Bend Community School and was a graduate of LaSalle High School. She was an employee of South Bend Memorial Hospital for 10 years in dietary. She later moved to Dallas Texas where she was employed at Dallas Medical City Hospital for 32 years.
Cassandra was united in holy matrimony to Derrick Tyler Sr. for 35 years. She was a devoted, loving, and caring wife until she passed. God blessed them to have three beautiful children: Derrick (Carly) Tyler Jr., Breanna Tyler, both of Dallas Texas; and one stepson, Adam Tyler of Indianapolis, Indiana; four beautiful grandchildren: Amya Tyler, Amani Tyler, Avi Tyler, and Kashton Tyler all of Dallas Texas; and one very special loving friend, Felica Fudge of Dallas Texas.
Cassandra is survived by four brothers: Edward Kimble of Atlanta, Georgia, Cary Kimble (Darlene) preceded in death, Keith (Dorothy) Kimble, and Carl (Anna) Kimble; two sisters: Sheena (Albert) Kimble Garvin, and Margaret (Jerald) Anderson all of South Bend, Indiana; her mother-in-law, Virginia Tyler; and a sister-in-law, Merlyn Tyler both of Dallas Texas.
Cassandra was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church until she moved to Dallas.
Cassandra was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Robert Tyler Sr.; and brother-in-law, Robert Tyler Jr.
One of Cassandra's greatest joys was spending time with her family, laughing, talking, and giving advice. She enjoyed working hard and looking pretty at all times. Cassandra leaves a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to share her memories.
