Catherine Beetem

Catherine "Cathy" Beetem (née Payne), age 79, of Covington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at Rosedale Green on July 18, 2025, where she was a beloved resident. She was born in Eaton Rapids, Michigan on January 22, 1946.
Cathy was a spirited and joyful woman who found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She especially loved playing bingo at Rosedale Green, celebrating the holidays with her family, and never missed an opportunity for a good yard sale or shopping trip-anywhere, anytime. Above all, she treasured her role as "Grandma" and poured her heart into her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mayme Payne (née Dandurand); her sons, Jeffrey Beetem, Tim Beetem, and Michael Beetem; her brother, Larry Payne; and her sisters, Anne Hruska, and Pauline Treloar.
She is survived by her brother, Arthur (Judy) Payne; and her brother-in-law, Phil Hruska. She leaves behind a cherished legacy through her grandchildren: Amanda (Anthony) Flannery, Kayla (Dusty) Schmiade, Staci (Bret) Hertzenberg, Ashley (Kevin Danbury) Beetem, Alexa Beetem, and Zoie Beetem; and her great-grandchildren: Sawyer Flannery, Carter Schmiade, Teagan Hertzenberg, Hayes Hertzenberg, and Ari Beetem-Howard. Cathy is also remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger, Kentucky, with a service to follow at 1:00 PM. Cathy will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
