WADESBORO
To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under the Heavens, a time to be born, and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which has been planted. Ecclesiastes 3:1-2
On December 17, 1935, in Anson County, North Carolina, our beloved Almighty God saw fit to announce to Craig Little, Sr. and Irene Tyson Little that it was time for another flower to be planted, and this flower was called Catherine Little. Catherine was the third oldest of five children of whom two preceded her in death, Annie Vera Lomax and Ammie Lee Bennett.
But, as the Sovereign God would have it to be so that which he planted, he also harvested and removed from earth’s garden, Catherine Little Bennett on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 3:45PM for his beautiful garden in Heaven.
A Time to Love
Mother Catherine began her Christian journey at an early age at First Baptist Church in Ansonville, NC. She was educated in the Anson County School System. Her work ethic spanned through employment with Anson Flower Shop, Sears and Roebuck and Winn Dixie. Many Anson County citizens remember her most for her years spent with Winn Dixie.
On January 13, 1957, Catherine married the handsome, Arthaniel Bennett who preceded her in death. To this union, they were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Loretta Bennett of the home and Catherne Lorene Bennett of Morven, NC. Also, a special nephew and Godson, Vernon R. Bennett of Wadesboro, NC.
Catherine and Arthaniel were blessed with nine grandchildren, Sheika, Roderick, LaNaireca, Marvin, Jr., Shanice, Rasheed, LaNiya, Jamiya, and Jameya and three great-grandchildren, Lazarah, Traveon, and Prynce.
A Time to Help and a Time to Laugh; A Time to Mourn and a Time to Dance
Now while she is at rest under the watchful eye of our Heavenly Father, Mother Catherine leaves to continue her life: 2 daughters, Loretta and Lorene; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Dorothy Mae Conyers of Maryland; 1 brother, Craig Little, Jr. (Dorothy Ann) of Ansonville, NC, who she loved dearly;
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 30, 2025 at First Baptist Church, Ansonville. The interment will be private.
The viewing and family visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday.
