Catherine Bonno Obituary

The former Catherine Le Mere was born on September 27, 1937, in Howard, daughter of the late Louis and Regina (Vervaeren) Le Mere. She attended local school and graduated high school in the Green Bay area. In 1958, Catherine graduated from Holy Family School of Nursing in Manitowoc. On September 30, 1959, Catherine was married to Kenneth Blahnik, he preceded her in death on July 11, 1962. On July 27, 1963, Catherine married Benjamin Bonno, he preceded her in death on May 6, 2000. While in Manitowoc Catherine worked for Holy Family Hospital and later worked at various facilities in the Green Bay area. She loved her nursing career and family get togethers, especially at Christmas. Catherine was a member of St. Patrick Oratory and its Christian Mothers.
Survivors include her children: Pat (Darold) Cichocki, Barb (Mike) Berg, Debi (Chris) Patti, Gina Blahnik, Mark (Leslie) Blahnik, Lori Greene, Traci (Mike) Gillis, Mary (Dale) Vannieuwenhoven, and Ann (Jim) Stuiber; 20 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one brother-in-law: Dale Hutterer; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; one son-in-law; two grandchildren; one sister; three brothers; and eight sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023, at St. Patrick Oratory, 211 N. Maple Ave., Green Bay. Canon Antoine Boucheron will conduct the Latin Requiem High Mass at 10:00 AM, preceded by the rosary at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Kellnersville. Relatives and friends may call at the Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave, Green Bay on Sunday, November 12, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in her name.
