Catherine McCann Clark (Age 91)

Catherine passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026.

Born in Geneva, N.Y. on November 1, 1934, she was the daughter of

Arthur McCann and Helen McNamara McCann.

She was the devoted wife of her husband, the late John R. Clark.

Catherine was a graduate of St. Francis De Sales High School, received her teacher's certificate from the State University of New York College for Teachers at Albany, and received a Masters of Library Science from the State University of New York. Catherine taught and served as a librarian overseas with the Department of Air Force Dependent Schools in Japan, Germany, England and France. Stateside, she served as a teacher, librarian, and media specialist in New York, Florida, and Maryland.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, James, Robert, and Richard McCann, and her sister Sister Margaret O'Connor RSM. She is survived by her stepsons Robert and Stephen (Eileen) Clark, step-grandchildren in Virginia, Florida, Mississippi, and Texas; as well as nieces and nephews in New York, Florida, and California. Her relatives and numerous friends will miss her dearly.

A private burial will take place at Cool Spring Natural Cemetery in Berryville, VA.

A memorial service will be held at a future time.
