Catherine Violet Frank

Catherine Violet Frank, 94, a resident of Embassy of Huntingdon Park, Huntingdon, went to be with The Lord at 7:20 P.M. on Saturday, February 24, 2024. Born September 17, 1929 in Williamsburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Harvey C. and Blanche (McDivitt) Hoover. She was united in marriage to Don Craine Frank in 1948, at the Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg, PA. Mr. Frank preceded her in death on February 14, 2021, after 73 years of marriage.
Mrs. Frank is survived by her three children, a son, Robert L. Frank and wife, Jacque, of Roanoke, VA; two daughters, Susan K. Lamey and husband, Robert, and Kathy J. Grimme and husband, Shawn, all of Huntingdon. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Tracy Stoltz and husband, Jeff, of Bellefonte, Jeffrey Lewis and wife, Cate, of Huntingdon, Cory Focht and husband, Justin, of Bellwood, and Ellissa Lane and husband, Dustin, of Williamsburg; eight great-grandchildren, Jordan Everhart and wife, Ashley, Tanner Everhart, Ethan Hickes, Chase Focht, Korrin Focht, Harper Lewis, Chelsey Lane, and Tyler Lane; two great-great-grandchildren, Addison and Morgan Everhart; and three step-granddaughters, Susanna Withers, Rebecca Lamey, and Jillian Stoltz. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by three siblings, Eugene Hoover, Geneva Hoover, and a brother in infancy, Robert Hoover.
Mrs. Frank was a member of Trinity Assembly of God, Huntingdon, where she served as a Sunday school teacher for 55 years.
She attended Williamsburg public schools and was a 1947 graduate of Williamsburg High School.
Mrs. Frank was primarily a homemaker, who enjoyed taking care of her family.
Affectionately known as "Grammy", Catherine loved to travel and enjoyed art, especially, sewing, photography, and writing poetry. Above all, she adored spending time with her family.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Presbyterian Cemetery in Williamsburg, 408 Liberty Street, Williamsburg, PA 16693, with Pastor Dave Hersh officiating. Private interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
