It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Catherine M. Jeffko, affectionately known as Cathy, on August 18, 2024. Born on September 16, 1941, in Bridgeport, CT, Catherine spent her childhood in Bridgeport, CT, before eventually settling in Lunenburg, Massachusetts. A woman of incredible spirit and resilience, Catherine was a loving mother, an adored grandmother, and a cherished friend to many. Her generous heart, thoughtful nature, and infectious humor touched everyone she met, leaving an indelible imprint on their lives.
Catherine was a woman of many talents and passions. She had a special fondness for the simple joys of life, a trait that endeared her to many. She was an avid gardener, finding solace in the tranquility of nature, and an accomplished cook and baker, much to the delight of her family and friends. Catherine had a particular penchant for Frank Sinatra and Phil Collin's music, which often filled her home and brought a certain rhythm to her life. She was devoted to her family, creating a warm and welcoming home. As a devout Catholic, Catherine was actively involved in her church and assisted with many church events.
She is survived by her children Anne Jeffko (Robert) Gilman, Kathleen Jeffko, and Paul Jeffko; and her grandchildren Catherine Jeffko Gilman, Robert Jeffko Gilman, and Sophie Jeffko Gilman. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Catherine Lombard, her loving husband, Walter Jeffko, her son, Walter Jr., and her brother, John Lombard.
Catherine's life was a testament to the power of love, generosity, and kindness. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of all who were fortunate to have known her. We invite you to share your memories of Catherine and upload photos to her memorial page, celebrating her life and the love she shared with us all.
