Catherine Minnick Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Findlay C Wylie Funeral Home on Feb. 12, 2026.
Catherine "Grandma Kitty" Minnick, born on October 14, 1953, in Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on February 11, 2026, surrounded by her children and grand-children.

Kitty, as she was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love and compassion. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her.

Kitty is survived by her children Rich (Teresa) Pasinski and Jamie (Charles) Laputka, her brothers Pete and Mark and sister Becky. Grandma Kitty also survived by her grandchildren Cameron, Gino, Kevin, Carson, Addysin, Averyana, Emily, Sydney, Callie and Mia who all adored her deeply. She was predeceased by her mother Lois Ellwanger.

Kitty found joy spending time with her dog Mister who will miss her dearly. She also found joy in spending time with family and friends, time at the beach and the occasional motorcycle ride. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her children and grand-children. Watching them grow up was her greatest joy. She will forever be Grandma Kitty.

Those who knew her will remember her infectious smile and witty sense of humor which she maintained until the very end of her life.

Funeral Service and Celebration of Life to honor the life of Catherine "Grandma Kitty" Minnick will be held on February 20, at 6:00 PM, at Wylie Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home at 11311 Frankstown Road, Pittsburgh PA 15235. Blessing Service held 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to: Donate to Change Lives (https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/donate-to-change-lives-2330)

Although Kitty's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us all. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her love and compassion in all that we do.
