Today we celebrate the return of Catherine Morris to her "eternal" home and is in the presence of her "savior", Jesus Christ. She was greeted by those who went before her in faith and will be missed by those who love her.
"Cat" spent her entire 91 years within 5 miles of where she was born. She grew up picking cotton, pulling peanuts, packing peaches and growing other vegetables. She also took care of her invalid mother who was disabled from the time she was a small child and had many amazing stories of the "growth" in Elberta and Warner Robins.
She will be remembered as "the best cook" around, a dedicated mom to her family and a kind, happy, spiritual person. Cat accepted the role of mom and helped build a stable family with her husband, Leroy, and his children when they married in 1971. They spent many happy years together representing what loving parents are. Times were not always great but they did it together and with lots of love.
Cat leaves behind grown children, "adoptive" children, grandchildren, cousins, nephews, friends and acquaintances who will miss her but have memories that will sustain them. She in turn knew she would miss them "dearly" but is confident, she will see them again one day in Christ.
With honor, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
