Catherine R. Muta, 92, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024. at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of the late John J. Muta to whom she was married 67 years. Born in Carbondale PA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Loyack) Jackovitz. Catherine and her husband, John, were avid ballroom dancers. She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
Catherine will be lovingly remembered by daughters, Cheryl Lewis (Scott), Allentown, Carolyn Kotch, Allentown, Catherine Stroup, Noorvik, AK, son, James, Huntington Beach CA. grandchildren, Matthew, Jessica, Meghan, Dakota, Hunter, Noah, Zachariah, Jetlin, Austin, Emily, Jennifer, Christine, and great grandchildren, Eve, Navy, Beckett, Blakely, and Celeste. She was predeceased by sisters, Mary Sara and Jean Gillen, and brothers, Joseph and Ray.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 10:00 AM in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME, INC. Online condolences may be offered to the family at and .
