Obituary of Catherine Napolitano

Catherine Napolitano, 97, of The Villages in Howell passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27, 2025. Catherine was born, raised and lived in Brooklyn. Along with her husband, Fred, they moved to The Villages in 1998. Catherine retired as the office manager for the United States Marshall, David Snyder, Brooklyn with twenty years of dedicated service in 1990.

She was a woman of faith and was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Farmingdale and was a former parishioner of Mary Queen of Heaven, Brooklyn. Catherine was an active senior. She was a member of the Red Hats Society, CentraState Auxiliary, and the Entertainment Club at The Villages. Catherine was also a former member, with her husband, Fred, of the American Legion in Brooklyn. She relished her time in Atlantic City at the slot machines and adored Betty Boop, yet Catherine could always be found rooting for her beloved NY Yankees.

Catherine was predeceased by her husband, Costantino "Fred"; son-in-law, James Donohue; brother, Frankie; and sisters, Mary and Tina. She is survived by her children, Constance Donohue, Cathy Lewis (Jeff), Louis Napolitano (Camille) and Nancy Napolitano (Jodi); four grandchildren, Stephanie Donohue, James Donohue, Caitlin Lewis, and Jeffrey Lewis; and four great-grandchildren, Raeleigh, Avery, Elena, and Taylor; and her brother, Pat DiLucca (Claire).

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Shore Animal League America, 25 Davis Avenue, Port Washington, NY 11050, or HERE. Mom, I always knew this day would come. What I didn't know was how I would go on without you. Your love for me, my children and grandchildren will be forever cherished. You were kind, loving and generous.

I'm very sadden of the loss of my Aunt Catherine. We had a very nice relationship, especially after my mom passed away. My mom and her were sister in laws that married the two younger brothers of the Napoltano family.
After my mom died my Aunt Catherine would tell me such great stories of her and my mom dating the brothers!! Her stories filled my heart and they made me feel closer to my mom and dad. I will miss talking to her on an hour or so phone calls.
Aunt Catherine, may you fly with all our other angels peacefully in heaven, may you be reunited with Uncle Freddie and give hugs to my parents and my brother Lorenzo. Love you and will miss you. Till we meet again, your niece Irene , Alex and family
