Catherine Oaster Obituary
Katie grew up in Central New York but moved to the Texas Hill Country in 1998. She worked the majority of her adult life in the financial services and/or insurance industry, having retired fairly early from USAA. Upon retirement Katie volunteered in multiple non-profit organizations. She was most proud of her efforts working with others to establish the Hill Country Animal League Spay/Neuter Clinic, the Pet Facility at the Kendall County Women's Shelter and her role in the Capital campaign for A Doggie 4 You dog rescue in Pipe Creek, Texas.
There will be an informal memorial at Ebensberger-Fisher funeral home in Boerne, TX on Thursday, April 24, 2025 with prepared tributes starting at 6pm. There will also be a grave side service at St. Mary's Cemetery in Dewitt, NY on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 10 am, followed by a celebration of life at the North Chittenango Fire Company at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for A Doggie 4 You dog rescue (adoggie4you.org), or the Genealogical Society of Kendall County (gskctx.org)
