Catherine Causey Peek went to be with the Lord and all her loved ones early Friday morning, July 26, 2024. She passed peacefully in the comfort of her own home after a longtime battle with dementia.
She was born in Rockingham, NC on November 15, 1933 to the late Issac and Flora Causey. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Victor Peek, son Randy Lee Peek, and sisters Delores Causey Scott, Shirley Ann Capel, and Laura Mae Brown.
She leaves behind her sons Gerry Thomas Peek (Kim) and Robin Causey Peek (Paula); eleven grandchildren including Nicole Troxell, Jessica Scott-Jeffries (Erick), Zach Peek, Jacob Peek (Courtney), Tommy Peek (Lacey), Joshua Peek (Kelly), Rachel Rollick (Shane), Catherine Lockhart (Ricky), Matthew Peek, Zachary Rollick, Daniel Rollick; fifteen great-grandchildren Haley, Kara, Joshua, Jaxson, Kensley, Cash, Cooper, Atlee, Ziana, Axton, Lilly, Emory, Ryker, Lyla, and Pearl; and two great-great-grandchildren Lincoln and Callum.
Church, driving around town, weekly shopping trips, and Fox News were some of her favorite pastimes. She spent her final years enjoying her family from the comfort of her favorite recliner always with a cup of coffee in hand. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Monday, July 29, 2024 at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Casey WIlliams officiating. Interment will follow in Eastside Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:45 -2:45 pm Monday at the funeral home.
