Catherine "Cass" Petruzzelli

Catherine "Cass" Petruzzelli (née Barnett) of Cherry Hill, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, at the age of 83.
Beloved wife of Peter J. Petruzzelli, Cass was the heart of her family and a constant source of love, strength, and devotion. She was a loving mother to Anthony Martinelli (Kathy), Lisa Shaw (John), Christina Mahan (John), and Maria Nigrelli (John). Cass was a devoted grandmother to Kaylee, Emily, Anthony, Dana, Christie, John, Marielle, Isabel, Michael, Nick, and Noelle, and a cherished great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren.
Cass grew up in Hunting Park and attended St. Henry's Grade School before graduating from Little Flower High School for Girls. She dedicated many years of service to Bell Telephone, retiring at the age of 49 to lovingly care for her grandchildren-a role she treasured deeply.
A woman of strong faith, Cass was actively involved in the Catholic Church as a Eucharistic Minister and CCD teacher. She was also deeply committed to her community, volunteering at the local food pantry and proudly serving as a member of the Sons of Italy.
Cass was a dear sister to Margaret, Larry, Bill, Mike, Rich, Helen, Regina, and Pat, and remained closely connected to her family throughout her life.
Known for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion to family and faith, Cass lived a life of service to others. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
The family extends a heartfelt and grateful thank you to Fox Chase Hospital for their exceptional care, compassion, and dedication over the years.
Viewing Thursday 10:30 to 11:45am in Holy Eucharist Church, 344 Kresson Road, Cherry Hill, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 12pm. Entombment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
