Suzanne Danenberg Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Platt Memorial Chapels, Inc. - Cherry Hill on Dec. 12, 2025.
SUZANNE DANENBERG

89, of Cherry Hill, NJ, formerly of Margate, NJ and Boynton Beach, FL, passed away on December 11, 2025. She was born and raised in Philadelphia. Beloved wife of the late Charles Danenberg and sister of the late Leonard Wolf. Devoted mother to Debra (Paul) Alper, Nadine (Scott) Downie and Carol Danenberg. Grandmother of Rachel (Graham), Steven (Liz), Sara and Leah. Great-grandmother of Asher, Caitlyn and Maisie.

Sue is predeceased by her beloved husband, Charlie. Sue met Charlie on a blind date to a synagogue dance when Charlie asked to borrow a phonograph. The pair took a trip down to Atlantic City for their first date, which blossomed into a beautiful, loving marriage of 62 years until Charlie passed in 2019.

Sue and Charlie retired to Florida in 2001 and shared a love of cruising with memorable trips to the Caribbean, Italy, and the Mediterranean.

Aside from traveling, Sue loved to paint, sketch, and create jewelry. She also enjoyed shopping, especially at art fairs where she could find unique jewelry and pieces of art. She was an avid and adventurous cook, always introducing new dishes to her family and enriching their love for food.

Sue had a big heart and befriended everyone who walked into the room. She was an empathetic listener, loved telling stories, and wished the best for everyone. She shares her strong will, generous spirit, and love of style with her three daughters and grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to graveside services Sunday, December 14, 2025, beginning 11:00AM at Beth Kehilla Cemetery in Pleasantville, NJ. Shiva will be held after the service at the home of Debbie Alper. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org
