Catherine Eleanor Plotzke

Catherine Eleanor Plotzke, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2023 surrounded by her family. Born in Detroit on June 2, 1928 to Frank and Margaret (nee; Krause) Plotzke. Over the years church was a very important part of Catherine's life. She was an active member and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Philomena Catholic Church. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, VFW Post 7170, the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2495 and the Amadaeus Circle #0616. Catherine retired from Samaritan Hospital. Catherine enjoyed playing word puzzles and she was a favorite of the bingo callers at her senior apartments, where she lived. Catherine leaves behind to cherish her memory her sister Geraldine Marie Plotzke, nieces; Michelle (the late Gerald) Engelhard, Doreen (the late Richard) Baxmann, Elizabeth (Michael) Sherer, Kathleen (Dominic) Bologna, Suzanne (Patrick) Barker, Beverly (Paul) Eckerman and her Nephews Robert Plotzke and Michael Plotzke. She is reunited with the ones who have gone before her: parents Frank Joseph and Margaret Catherine Plotzke, brothers Richard (Beverly) Plotzke and Robert (Doris) Plotzke and her niece Margaret Plotzke. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2023 at Chas. Verheyden, Inc.- Duross Chapel, 28499 Schoenherr Road, Warren, 48088.
