Catherine Marie (Mills) Sapp, age 87 of PRP, returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Sanders Ridge Health Campus in Mt. Washington. She was born on February 20, 1937, in Marion County, Kentucky to the late Ignatius Edelen Mills and Lena (Lee) Mills. She was retired from Kroger Company as an office employee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ignatius Edelen and Lena Catherine Mills; husband, Edward "Keith" Sapp Sr; son, Edward Keith "Eddie" Sapp Jr; and siblings, Barbara Jean Luckett (Bernard), Francis Ellert "Blue Boy" Mills, Ethelene Young, Joseph Edelen "Joe Boy" Mills and Mary "Tresine" Thomas and brother-in-law, Johnny Newcomb.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Theresa Koch (Jerry) and Sherri Evanow (Rory); grandchildren, Cassie Wells (Dave), Courtney Staples, Kyle Evanow (Jennifer) and Jared Evanow; siblings, Bridget Newcomb, Rose Lee Shewmaker (Darrell), Harry Thomas "Tommy" Mills (Dorothy) James "Jay" Mills (Kathleen), Mary "Angela" Mattingly (Richard), Lucy "Martina" Spalding (Norman), Marie "Elaine" Mills, RuthAnn Blair (Kenny); brothers-in-law, Pat Young and Carl Thomas; sisters-in-law, Katie Mills and Betty Mills; and a host of extended family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 10:00am at St. Athanasius Catholic Church (5919 Outer Loop Louisville, KY) with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home-Mt. Washington (Hwy 44E @ 123 Winning Colors Drive) and Friday, April 5, 2024 from 9:00am until the service time at church.
