Larry Dean "Dobber" Sapp

Larry "Dobber" Dean Sapp, 56, of Auxvasse, passed away on October 27, 2025, at the University of Missouri Hospital, surrounded by those he loved.
He was born on November 14, 1968, in Fulton, Missouri, to the late Joseph and Ora Bell (Love) Sapp.
Known by many as a true "shade tree" mechanic, Dobber had a natural gift for fixing just about anything. There wasn't much he couldn't do-or figure out how to do. Always willing to lend a helping hand, he was the kind of man who would drop what he was doing to help someone in need.
Dobber loved the adventures of road trips and the open road on his Harley-Davidson, the smell of something good cooking in the kitchen, and Sundays spent cheering on his beloved Kansas City Chiefs-or just about any football game that was on. He enjoyed watching boxing and had a deep appreciation of rock music, especially the band Halestorm. A fan of dragons and the color purple, Dobber's unique interests reflected his strong yet creative spirit. Above all, he cherished time with his girls and his grandbabies, who were truly the light of his life. He will be remembered for his big heart, his hard work, and his unwavering loyalty to those he loved.
Those that remain to cherish his memory are his daughters, Misty Sapp (Paul Wieschhaus), Virgina "Ginny" Sapp (Charles Runde), Nikkya "Sunshine" Sapp (Nathaniel Erickson); brothers, Kenneth J. Sapp (Stacy), David Sapp (Mary); sister, Janet Millis (C.W.); grandchildren, Vanessa Earickson, Caleb Earickson, Trenton Qualls, and Cheyanne Qualls.
Funeral Services will be held at Grand Prairie Baptist Church in Auxvasse, Missouri, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 11:00 am with Pastor Eddie Schoeneberg officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until time of service. A visitation will be held at Maupin Funeral Home on Monday, November 3, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
