Catherine Jo “Cathie” Spranger, 68, died October 6, 2025. Cathie was born September 8, 1957 in Jackson, MI to Ronald and Josie (Alexander) Grover. Cathie worked at many local restaurants in the area as a server and food prep. She married Cameron Spranger on July 29, 1999.
Cathie loved being a mother, first and foremost. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, shopping at dollar tree, coffee and horticulture. She loved taking care of others and often offered up her guidance and support to those she knew. Cathie was dedicated to her Christian faith.
Cathie is survived by her loving husband, Cameron; two children, Cammie and Tyler (Kenra) Slaven; two grandchildren; stepchildren, Erich (Dominique) Spranger and Cheryl (Ed) Hall; 6 step-grandchildren; a sister, Connie Grover and cousins, Jeri Zeka and Jeanne Taylor.
Cathie was preceded in death by her parents, brother Matthew Grover, and son Evan (Michelle Deel) Bournay.
As per Cathie’s request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
