Catherine Martin Taylor, 85, of Osceola, Iowa, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025, at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, October 17, 2025, at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel, Iowa. Online condolences may be shared at www.caldwellparrish.com.
Cathy was born on April 9, 1940, to William and Catherine (Brennan) Pease in Beacon, New York. She graduated from High School in 1958 and later earned her CNA license. On June 23, 1979, she married Dwight Taylor at the United Methodist Church in Sonoma, California.
Cathy worked for many years as a certified nursing assistant before joining the Clarke Community School District in Osceola. She was known for her love of shopping, her impeccable sense of style, and her vibrant, social spirit. Her favorite place to visit was always Hawaii, where she enjoyed many memorable trips with her in-laws.
Cathy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Dwight Taylor; her children, Jeffrey Taylor, Patrick Taylor, and Ann Easter; and six grandchildren, Emma Mraz, Gabby Mongar, Nic Taylor, Sophia Taylor, Mark Easter, and Marley Easter; as well as many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
