Catherine Wecker Obituary
She was born on March 7th, 1947 in Yonkers, NY. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Loskywitz and Elizabeth (Butler) Loskywitz.
She attended St. Peter's School and graduated in 1965 from the High School of Commerce in Yonkers, NY.
She began a long career with the US Postal Service, working in White Plains, Mt. Vernon and Mt. Kisco, NY. Moving to Goldens Bridge, NY, she worked at the Jewish Community Center School in White Plains, then at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mt. Kisco, NY.
She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Wecker, in 2006, and moved to Enfield, CT shortly thereafter.
Catherine was very passionate about many things. She loved the holidays, her family, classic rock music, attending many live concerts over the years, and was still a New Yorker at heart.
Catherine is survived by her son, Richard Wecker, of Enfield, CT; her daughter, Kathleen (Chris) Supsak, of New Milford, CT; grandchildren, Scott and Emily Supsak, of New Milford, CT; her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Rochelle Loskywitz and niece Bronwyn of Bronxville, NY; her sister and brother-in law, June and Michael DePolito of Enfield, CT; nephew Michael DePolito and nephew Anthony DePolito and Samantha Eck of Enfield, CT; best friends, Diane and Mike Kagikas of Arizona.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20th, 2025 from 10 AM to 11 AM at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, CT with a service at 11 AM.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 25, 11:00 am at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, New York.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
