Catherine M. Werfelman

Catherine M. Werfelman (nee Arnold) 12/10/1927-7/27/2025 died peacefully at home. Wife of the late Ronald Werfelman. Catherine was from Queens moving to Baldwin in 1950 when she got married and started her family. She is survived by her sons William, Edward, George (Valerie), Robert (Dee) and John (Kara) along with 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She worked at Baldwin Public Library in 1969 and later started working at Long Island Trust in Freeport. She enjoyed bicycle riding, often taking rides to Jones Beach, which was her favorite place. She also enjoyed bowling and tennis and was active in both well into her 80's. She loved to travel and visited many European countries and many National parks in the U.S. Catherine was a breast cancer survivor for over 21 years. She was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She had a fun sense of humor and left a great impression on everyone lucky enough to have met her. Catherine will be very sorely missed. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
