Catherine Woosley Obituary
Catherine Womack Woosley, of Alton passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in Halifax County on June 23, 1947, Catherine was the daughter of the late Letcher Womack and Jessie Ferrell Womack. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Woosley, Sr.
As a homemaker, Catherine created a warm and welcoming environment for her family and friends. Her love for her family was evident in every aspect of her life; she found immense joy and pride in their accomplishments and happiness.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence; son, Lawrence Woosley, Jr. (Shawnee Francis); granddaughter, Kristan Goldsmith; great granddaughter, Emily Goldsmith; and special niece and nephew, Donna & Gerald Long.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 16th at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Harvey Spencer officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
