Catherine (Kitty) Barrett Yeadon, age 76, late of Oak Forest, IL, passed away September 30, 2024. Kitty enjoyed the beauty of nature and wildlife. She loved mountains and trips with family, the most memorable were driving to the West Coast with her youngest sister through the Rocky Mountains and to Italy, Greece and Croatia with her daughters to celebrate a family milestone birthday.
Her fun-loving personality, strong work ethic, and free-love spirit were traits that defined her character. She simultaneously ran a family business and multiple part-time jobs as a single parent. She retired as a Vice Present of Banking after 25 years at Marquette Bank. Kitty was an avid dance, music and animal lover, and championed causes of children and animals. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her 2 daughters, son-in-law and 3 sisters.
Loving mother of Charlene Barrett and Jennifer Tynski (son-in law Greg Tynski). Cherished Aunt to several nieces and nephews and honorary grandmother to many neighborhood children and children of family friends. Caring sister of Sandra Rusnak, Susan Geis and Cathleen Paterno. Dear daughter of the late John and Catherine Barrett.
