March 5, 1962 - October 4, 2025
Kathleen Susan Stoll, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 63. She was born on March 5, 1962, to Allan and Judith (nee Kolenko) Stoll, and from the very beginning brought a special joy to everyone who knew her.
Kathleen had a zest for life that was uniquely her own. She was a proud member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts and never lost her love for roller coasters, diet soda, and her ever-changing variety of dinner options. Kathleen delighted in music, especially that of The Monkees. Being kissed by Davy Jones was one of the highlights of her life, and she treasured that memory always. She also loved watching The Andy Griffith Show, affectionately calling the star simply "Andy."
A graduate of Lincoln-Way Special Education, Kathleen continued in their programs until the age of 21. She was especially proud of winning a gold medal in bocce ball at the Illinois State Special Olympics. She was also a member of the KSKJ Slovenian Fraternal Group, Branch #2 in Chicago.
Kathleen's family was at the center of her world. She is survived by her loving mother, Judy; her brother, James (the late Susan) Stoll, her sister Sue (the late John) Robinson; her nieces, Elizabeth Stoll and Celia Stoll; and her many special friends, Kate Hansen, Susan, Phyllis, and Charlotte. She will also be missed by her aunts and uncles: Barbara (spouse of Stephen) Kolenko, John and Carol Kolenko, Tony and Debbie Kolenko, Thomas and Geri Stoll, and Noel (the late Roy) Spaargaren, Pat (the spouse of Susan) Tatar, along with many friends and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, Allan James Stoll; her uncle, Stephen Kolenko; and her aunt Susan Tatar.
Those who knew Kathleen will always remember her bright smile, her enthusiasm for the things she loved, and the warmth she brought to every gathering. She truly was one of a kind.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Aurelio's in Frankfort, Illinois. Family and friends are invited to come together to share stories, laughter, and love in honor of Kathleen, a remarkable woman who will be deeply missed.
