Cathy was one of my Middle School teachers in the mid 80s. I have fond memories of her. I was deeply saddened when I got the news of her passing. I've been a close friend of the Zuniga- Trevino family since 1988. I met her nephew, Fernando Trevino Jr at Holmes High School while in ROTC. A few years later, I caught up with Cathy again at a family gathering. It was interesting to find out that Cathy was related to the Trevino family, who I consider as part of my family. It goes to show what a small world we have. She was always the life of a party and brought smile to many including me. She was a positive force and she will be missed here on Earth..... Hugs sent to you in heaven Cathy. Thanks for being my teacher and later on, a friend. God bless you.

Cat was one of my closest friends at John Jay High School. She was my portable buddy and my lunch buddy. We taught English together and she always gave me great advice. I´m so sad to hear that she is gone but I will treasure our memories together.
