Cathinia Alpers Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beck Funeral Home in Austin/Round Rock on Sep. 25, 2025.
Cathinia Kaye Alpers, affectionately known as Kaye, lived a life filled with love, kindness, and
creativity. Born on February 15, 1949, in Beaumont, Texas, Kaye's gentle spirit and warm heart touched all who had the pleasure of knowing her. On September 23, 2025, at the age of 76, Kaye passed away peacefully in Round Rock, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family.
Kaye's journey began as the beloved daughter of her late parents and was raised with a foundation of strong Christian faith that would guide her throughout her life. She shared an unbreakable bond with her late brother, James Glass Jr. (Sonny), and cherished the memories of her parents, her parents by marriage, who meant so much to her and her grandparents, who she missed dearly.
Kaye's heart found its match in Sidney Alpers, with whom she built a life filled with joy and devotion. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Matthew and Elizabeth, who would grow to embody the values she held dear. Her family expanded with the addition of her daughter-in-law, Theresa Dodd-Alpers, and her role as 'Grandma' to her adored grandchildren, Isabel, Gabrielle, Matthew, and Mark, brought her immeasurable happiness.
Kaye's nurturing nature was not limited to her immediate family; she was a cherished sister to Sheila Lovett and a respected sister-in-law to John Lovett. She enjoyed the endless hours of conversation she got to spend on the phone with her extended family in New Jersey. All family was important to Kaye. Her familial bonds were a source of strength and comfort, and the love within her family was a testament to the life she and Sidney cultivated together.
Beyond her role as a dedicated wife and mother, Kaye was a talented painter whose canvases reflected the beauty she saw in the world. Her love for gardening was evident in the vibrant blooms that adorned her garden, a visual symphony of life's ever-changing palette. But perhaps her greatest joy was found in the laughter and stories shared with her grandchildren, each moment spent with them a precious treasure she held close to her heart.
Described by those who knew her as gentle, loving, and kind, Kaye's legacy is one of unspoken strength and quiet dignity. Her actions spoke volumes, teaching by example the virtues of patience, understanding, and unconditional love. Her presence was a calming force, and her influence will continue to be felt through the lives of those she touched.
Kaye's departure from this world leaves behind a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family. She leaves a legacy of love that will continue to grow and flourish, much like the gardens she so tenderly cared for. Her memory will be cherished and celebrated, a reminder of the beauty and kindness that one person can bring into the lives of many.
Her story does not end here, she will forever live on in our hearts, memories, and our lives that she influenced. We love you Kaye.
