Valatie- Cathleen C. Lynch, 68, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Albany Medical Center surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Brockton, Massachusetts, on June 26, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Henry R. Clements and Carol O'Reilly Clements. Cathleen grew up in Niverville and later in Nassau, where she formed the deep roots and lifelong friendships that would stay with her always.

A proud graduate of Ichabod Crane High School, Cathleen built a meaningful career at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, serving as a senior registration associate and working in the inpatient pharmacy. Known for her steady presence, warm smile, and willingness to help anyone who needed it, she was deeply respected by colleagues and patients alike.

Cathleen lived a life marked by love, devotion, and joy in simple things. A true sports enthusiast, she cheered passionately for the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New York Mets, and the Indiana Fever. Whether celebrating a win or shaking her head at a tough loss, she brought the same enthusiasm, humor, and heart that she showed in every part of her life.

Above all, Cathleen loved her family. She was selfless to her core-every decision, every effort, every quiet act of care was done with her loved ones in mind. She was the caretaker of her family in every season of life, offering comfort, strength, and a wicked good sense of humor that could light up any room.

Cathleen also treasured the many friendships she maintained from her high school years. Reconnecting with old friends, sharing memories, and keeping those bonds strong brought her great joy.

Cathleen was predeceased by her parents and her husband, William C. Lynch who passed in June of this year.

Cathleen is survived by her son, William C. Lynch II; her daughters, Bobbi-Jo Lynch and Kelly (George) Ellis; her sisters, Rosemarie (Robert) Balfoort and Linda (David) Schwartz; her brothers, Richard (Erin) Clements and Stephen (Anastasia) Clements; her grandchildren, Nathaniel, Austin, Riley, Cameran, Sophia, Jasmine, Jaylyn, Logan, and Brandon; her great-grandchildren, Wesley and Brooks; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Gary (Kim) Lynch, who Cathleen's family expresses deep gratitude to for the love and support he has showed Cathleen since the passing of her husband.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Cathleen's family from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St. Nassau, NY 12123. A funeral service will take place following the conclusion of the visitation period at 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
