Cathrine Steinmeyer

Funeral services for Cathrine A. Steinmeyer age 83 of Wisner, NE will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wisner, NE with Pastor Jared Hartman officiating. Interment will be in the Wisner Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner and will continue on Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Cathy passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, NE.
Cathrine Anna Addeline Steinmeyer was born on July 27, 1941 south of Wisner, NE to Rozell and Esther (Heller) Liermann. She was baptized on August 21, 1941 at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Beemer, NE and later confirmed on April 3, 1955 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wisner, NE. Cathy attended Cuming County Rural School and graduated from Wisner High School in 1959.
On June 19, 1960, she was united in marriage to Robert Steinmeyer at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wisner, NE. The couple lived north of Wisner, where Cathy assisted Bob on the farm, and cared for her sheep. Cathy also had worked at the Wisner Care Center for several years.
Cathy was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, helping with Vacation Bible School, attending Tuesday Bible Study, belonging to its Fellowship Club, and delivering recordings of services to shut-ins, chaperoning on youth group trips, or delivering meals on wheels. She was a member of the Scattered Neighbors Extension Club for over 60 years. Cathy and Bob were 4 H leaders for numerous years. Cathy enjoyed gardening and canning, doing crafts, reading and sewing. She loved being with her family and attending the grandchildren's activities.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents-Rozell and Eshter Liermann, husband-Robert Steinmeyer, sister-Colette Liermann, sisters-in-law-Deb Liermann and Judy Liermann, and a nephew-Shawn Liermann.
