Arnaudville - A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville for Cathy Ann Breaux, 57, who passed away on October 19, 2024 at her residence.

A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville on Tuesday from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm and will continue on Wednesday from 7:00 am until time of service.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Tuesday.

Deacon Butch Hebert will officiate the funeral service. Burial will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery.

Cathy was born on May 30, 1967 in Lafayette. Cathy's life a tapestry woven with love and cherished memories. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone around her smile, through her warm-hearted nature or her playful antics. Her passion for life was palpable in her many hobbies and interests. Cathy found joy in the simplicity of coloring, where each stroke of her crayon became a reflection of her colorful personality. She cherished the times spent with friends and family playing cards.

Cathy delighted in showering her grandchildren with love and affection. She had a special knack for finding just the right gifts at the dollar store, always ensuring that her beloved grandchildren felt treasured and thought of. Her nurturing spirit extended to everyone she met, as she took immense pleasure in sharing simple joys, like picking pecans or indulging in warm slices of cornbread that filled not only the stomach but also the soul.

Cathy's love for the thrill of the casino was a source of excitement that mirrored her zest for life. Each visit was not merely about the games, but rather about the laughter shared with friends and family, sparking a sense of togetherness that will be cherished by all. Even as she navigated life's ups and downs, her love for bringing smiles never waned, and she approached everything with an open heart and sparkling enthusiasm.

She is survived by her partner, Jimmie C. Huval; daughters, Ashley Breaux and Sandy Breaux (Michael); son, Jeremy Breaux(Alicia); brothers, Carroll Joseph Taylor, Larry Taylor, Harry Taylor, Robert Lee Taylor and Randoff Taylor; sisters, Judy T. LeGrange, Carolyn Vines and Ramona Bouley; grandchildren, Kaiden Breaux, Taeghon Comeaux, Brenden Breaux, Avery Comeaux, Armani Breaux, Kasen Shelton, Gracelynn Shelton and Kelvin Shelton; a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Loretta Taylor; brother, Carlton J. Taylor; sisters, Elizabeth Bergeron and Angie Taylor; nephew, Christopher L. Taylor; niece, Loretta Bergeron.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Breaux, Ethan Frederick, Ricky Jeremy Hebert, Michael Shelton, Taeghon Comeaux and Justin Bouley.
